Durham School of the Arts serves grades 6 through 12, emphasizing the visual and performing arts.
Neighborhood Partnership programs include:
- An artist-in-residence, who works with classes and school-wide assemblies
- Construction projects by Duke subcontractors, such as resurfacing the track
- Development of a visual arts Web site and visual arts show at Duke’s Nasher Museum of Art
- Tutoring programs
- School Days, in which students with college potential but few role models spend a day on the Duke Campus.
