Seniors make music, with local funders' help
Senior citizens who have dreamed of learning to play the piano can now do so, free of charge, thanks to a grant from the Fenwick Foundation and the Duke Endowment. Classes are held from 9 to 11 a.m. every Thursday at the Lyon Park Family and Life Center, located at 1313 Haley St. The effort is being coordinated by Walltown Children's Theatre, the Durham Parks and Recreation Department and Calvary Ministries. For more information and to sign up, contact Cora Tucker at 560-4288 or Joseph Henderson at 286-4545.
